TVs are not one-size-fits-all. Make your TV truly yours!

I go into your home, and calibrate each display to your unique retinal characteristics, an “Optimum Match” if you will.

Each TV/monitor in your studio, or home can all be tailored to your individual perception of color. The value to you is, more clarity in images, and no matter what content you watch/view the display, for the first time in your life it will feel “right”.

The other benefit is that you can uniquely claim that your TV/Monitor is truly yours. Rewatching shows and movies you are familiar with, will bring out new depth, saturation of colors, and clarity you have never seen before.

When you calibrate a display to the D65 Standard (most if not all video/movies/games today are mastered in D65) your perception of the color of white may have a magenta/pink tint to it. Some people’s perception of the same white may be more green/cyan. This is called Observer Metamerism.

  • Observer Metamerism: Our perception of color does not match any one else’s. Two people may see the same image in the same environment but report differences in color. There are differences in color perception across individuals. We simply do not all process color exactly the same. Every set of eyes is a s unique as our personality.

Optimum Match your Display With Professional TV Calibration

We can mitigate this by using a technique we call “Optimum Match”.

I use a reference calibrated display/monitor ( reference display) calibrated to D65, and we compare your perception of the color white to your display. (secondary display)

If the color of white does not match the reference displays white to your eyes- we have a problem (we can fix this with your help)

To fix this at this point I will display a full screen white patch on both the reference and secondary display

I line up both displays in the same field of view of your primary seat to your display, and adjust in real time the secondary displays Red, Green, & Blue controls on your display until you visually confirm that the secondary displays white matches as close to the white of the reference display.

Once confirmed, I take a reading with my meter of the secondary display, and jot down the new color coordinates.

This “Optimum Match” coordinate is what is used to calibrate the display, while still adhering to the D65 Standard used by Hollywood, and matching your unique perception of that standard..

People like to personalize their phones, their home decor, heck even their Netflix profiles – So make your displays in your home truly unique to you and special, give us a call and we can make your display or monitor truly yours, and yours alone, your eyeballs will thank you!
